Inspired by a period when the artist and craftsman were celebrated,
Palazzo
brings a diverse collection of handmade gifts and European home and garden decor
to those who have an appreciation for old world, vintage style but with
modern flair. With the sound of foreign beat in the background, and a
backdrop of gilded French furniture reminiscent of a French salon or perhaps an
Italian villa, the 1,500 square foot space located in historic downtown Monterey
invites one to casually linger. The shop features a full array of
lifestyle and home decor products all inspired by or imported from
Europe--gifts, textiles, dishes, furniture, luxury bath products, fine
stationery and more. As Oscar Wilde once said,
"In this age, the unnecessary has become the necessary."
Indeed, luxury is all about the beautiful things one may not "need" but
simply must have.

offers a discriminating selection of items in limited stock to grace your home
and garden while capturing the essence of European living—the smell of lavender
